Removing Apps with File Manager
Any Manager with access the whole of android's file system including the elusive data folder is fine to free memory. For example, Root Explorer works well for this purpose. For security reasons specialists do not recommend to delete files but to disable them by moving to a different folder or SD card. However it will be easy to recover them.
If Root Explorer fails to move or delete files, change its Settings: press the button R/W (it should be changed for R/O).
Removing Apps with Titanium Backup
Titanium Backup works for root devices. Note it is useful to move unused files to a different folder or SD card rather than delete them forever. It is good to know that you can get them back any time you want.
Select and mark any app you want to freeze and this utility will execute your command.
Removing apps for non-rooted devices via standard interface
Freezing apps isn’t possible in most cases for non-rooted devices. Tools continue to work.
- Follow the steps: “Menu”-“Settings”-“Apps”, move to option “All”.
- Find the app that you want to remove, then select Force stop. It will stop running on your phone.
We also advise you to check the list of applications that have no effect on OS. You can disable them without worrying about your device’s proper working.
